I have a client that is a nonresident of Ohio but has interest in a small partnership there. Lacerte is generating Ohio form SD-100 & taxing all income. My understanding is that only pay school district tax if you live in the district.
How do I override this?
Thanks.

You could file it as non resident and put whatever amount is taxable on the first line into the box that asks "What income was earned while you were not a resident of the School District" on line 22, that will zero out the return if you can't delete it. If it's an Earned Income SD put a zero for income on line 24.

Thank you. That did work but I found a different way. I removed the school district code in client information & the SD-100 input screen. That got rid of the form.
