When you go through the "efile extension" wizard, it will either saw "Auto-withdraw" or "pay by check" to the right of the state return being extended.

I couldn't figure out how to set up the PTE amount due to be paid thru the extension, in addition to the LLC Fee required. When I validated the return, only the $6,000 LC Fee appeared to be withdrawn.

Then Lacerte may not offer auto debit of PTE for your state. I'm in CA. I haven't checked recently, but it didn't look my Lacerte was offering it for CA last I checked. It only generates a payment voucher or has a checkbox that taxpayer will pay through WebPay.
