Hi...We have recently downloaded TY2021 Lacerte Tax Software and have proforma'ed few files from TY2020 Lacerte. We are seeing an error when opening 'Forms' within Files which reads 'Error During Calc Intit, <ClientNumber>. When clicked on 'OK' below it, another error message appearing which reads 'Exception occurred in the Tax Engine.' The same is happening with New files too created in TY2021 Software.
We tried 'Force Setup' and other methods available on internet(including Lacerte Tool Hub) but none have worked.
Can anyone help me solve this issue please.

Suggestion for the future - use Google - In this case "Error During Calc Intit, <ClientNumber> lacerte" got me to:
Google search is much better than this one for error messages. I hope this cures your illls

We did see the given link earlier and have tried all the options mentioned in it including 'Repair of Database' and 'Repair of Lacerte Installation'. None Worked 😞

If you have not been able to work with these client files, I would delete them. Be sure your current with updates on 2020 and 2021. Close both programs. Open 2020 and do the proforma again. Open 2021 and hopefully things will work well.
