My question is for tax year 2018. For the input for Form 8615, if we are electing to calculate tax using the parent's rate, do I need to enter the parent's information? In prior years, Lacerte would automatically fill the necessary fields through the family link function, but it is not doing that in 2018. The only information it fills is the parent's name, SSN and filing status.

Either call support or use Ctrl + L to highlight the return and send it to Lacerte with your concerns about it. They will either use this to fix the program and let you know how to fix the problem.
