Diagnostic says to efile the Maryland return I have to override the electronic payment date to a date prior to 4/15 or remove the direct debit info and pay by check. However, I never had any direct debit info input-client always paid by check.
How do I get around this?

I called support yesterday for the same problem. I have many MD resident tax returns. I was told that they are aware of the problem and there's supposed to be an update today (3/31). I hope so.

There is an update out for 2018 and 2020 NOW!
Knowing that - My preference is to run Lacerte 2020 Web Setup and Lacerte 2018 Web Setup. I find it does a safer update, with less buggy update problems.
Answers are easy. Questions are hard!
