What format must the parcel number be entered for CA 593 e-file compliance (diagnostic tripped)?

I would NOT include the APN letters, since they are not really part of the number.
If you put in the hyphens, remove them?
Google does not seem to show a consistent format for all counties.
What if you leave it blank?
I could be the this field is not properly formatted by the software yet. I don't see it listed in the F1 help fields.
