I entered my K1 CA adjustment -44,783.00 but it is doubled on my 540 line 14 and Sch CA column B. The amount is $89,566.00

Don't enter the adjustment. Just enter the CA amount in the "State if different" column & let Lacerte do the math.

I only entered the negative number in the passthrough K1 Screen 20.3 from K1 State, if different column. I am amending this return because I didn't have the K1 when it was originally prepared.

You enter the State figure from the F 565/568. NOT the adjustment.

I entered the State adjustment from the 1041 K1 in the CA 540

I figured it out.
I was entering the negative sign as stated on the K1 for the adjustment to CA US Bond interest but it was already in the subtraction column so it was doubling the amount.
