I am trying to download Lacerte tax 2016. When I clicked setup file, it asked about download PREP file. for some reason, it does not go on. I need a help tonight asap

Go to MyAccount & download the 2016 prep file to a flash drive, or to your desk top, or anywhere you can find it.

Then copy/paste the prep file into the 2016 Lacerte directory.

FWIW.... I just logged into "MyAccount" & downloaded my 2016 prep file.

Sorry just found out that I individual tax software was downloaded. Actually I was trying to get corporate returns for S Corp and C Corp. What can I do to fix the issue tonight asap? Thank you all!

Try WebSetUp and then select the modules you are missing.
