I transferred a client from 2018 to 2019. The depreciation for a rental changed from E to C, AND, the dates placed in service are all messed up showing the years as 5513, 5552, etc., etc. What in the world in going on??

Sounds like something bad happened. Be sure 2018 is up to date. Rename the bad 2019 return. Proforma the client from 2018 again and check that the depreciation is okay. I have used Lacerte for decades and I have never had that happen, but sometimes bad things happen.
Answers are easy. Questions are hard!

Thank you very much - this is super scary to me. Wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem. 2018 was fine. I did as you suggested and re-numbered and transferred. I am going to call tech support tomorrow as this isn't the only problem I've encountered this year. I have used Lacerte for 22 years and this is the first year for anything like this happening that I am aware of.
