There is a whole community of professionals out there.<\/p>\n<p>The beauty of the off-season is that it provides tax professionals the time to decompress and focus on learnings. There is so much education and information shared during this time that you cannot afford to miss out. Here are some of the best ways you can stay involved throughout the upcoming months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Join an Association<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.natptax.com\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-wa-link=\"body_natp\" target=\"_blank\">National Association of Tax Professionals<\/a> (NATP) offers in-person and online educational events to help you advance your expertise to help grow your firm. Their live events are the perfect excuse to get away for a few days to network with fellow tax pros and fulfill your education requirements. You\u2019ll dive into some highly relevant tax topics with industry-leading instructors <em>and<\/em> earn CPE.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re a CPA, look into the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aicpa.org\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-wa-link=\"body_aicpa\" target=\"_blank\">American Institute of CPAs<\/a> (AICPA) for conferences on a wide variety of topics and niches, including tax, or access your own state CPA society\u2019s webpage for state-specific and local chapter opportunities. Membership to the AICPA includes professional skills trainings, programs, services and information you need to keep you at the top of your professional life.
