Can you please tell me a few ways ProSeries benefits your practice?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Michael Garcia:<\/strong> Thanks for having me. Proseries is a&nbsp;good software fit for me. My clients are not overly complex, but ProSeries still offers tools to generate future expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SC: What is unique about your firm compared to other firms?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MG:<\/strong> I can&#8217;t say I&nbsp;am unique to the industry, but the one thing I think I&nbsp;offer is my ability to explain things in such a way to the client where they&nbsp;understand. I feel when they understand for the most part, they are more comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SC: Well said! What is your vision for your firm going forward?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MG:<\/strong> Well, I moved this past year in hopes of attracting new clients. The main reason I moved was due to my marriage, but the business follows me.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SC:<\/strong> <strong>I know you\u2019re active in the ProSeries Tax Community. What motivates you to help others with questions about the software and about tax?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MG<\/strong>: I try to be active during the tax season. I believe in giving back due to the&nbsp;community because I was helped once. There are a few more who are very active and I salute them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SC:<\/strong> <strong>How has your practice changed over the last 5 years?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MG:<\/strong> I&#8217;ve increased my prices to accurately reflect the services I&nbsp;offer, and last&nbsp;year was my first year going paperless. That is a challenge for me as my entire career has been paper copies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SC: What is your firm\u2019s tech stack, and what Intuit products are you using?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MG:<\/strong> At the moment just&nbsp;ProSeries, but I am looking to stack others with it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SC: What do you like to do in your spare time?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MG:<\/strong> I listen to live music, and reading and weightlifting are a big part of my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SC: What was your very first job?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MG:<\/strong> Many many moons ago I was a dishwasher for a buffet restaurant, and started working in my father&#8217;s office when I was 17 doing bank reconciliations, journal entries, and compiling sales reports, and that year was my first year i was introduced to income tax. I worked behind the scenes.
