While merriment is taking place, don&#8217;t forget about these important deadlines, and be sure to pass this list to your clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/taxprocenter.proconnect.intuit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/December-2024-Tax-and-Compliance-Deadlines.pdf\">December<\/a>, it is recommended that you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Establish tax return preparation procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop tax preparation docket sheet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyze <a href=\"https:\/\/taxprocenter.proconnect.intuit.com\/practice-management\/how-to-address-staffing-concerns\/\">tax season staffing<\/a> needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare tax season work assignments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare tax preparation packets for clients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review new tax developments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remind individual clients of the January due date for the final 2024 estimated tax payment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remind business clients of Jan. 31 due date for filing Forms W-2 and 1099-MISC for 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-x-large-font-size\"><strong>Key Compliance Dates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employees whose withholding status will change in 2024 should submit a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-pdf\/fw4.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Form W-4<\/a>, <em>Employees Withholding Certificate<\/em>, to the employer.
