Be sure to share this list with your clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In <a href=\"https:\/\/taxprocenter.proconnect.intuit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/June-2023-Tax-and-Compliance-Deadlines.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">June<\/a>, it is recommended that you:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>File returns or extensions for <a href=\"https:\/\/taxprocenter.proconnect.intuit.com\/tax-law-and-news\/reporting-foreign-income-and-filing-expat-returns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">taxpayers abroad<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review tax law changes for 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review tax plans for 2nd quarter estimates for individuals and businesses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-x-large-font-size\"><strong>Tax compliance deadlines:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thursday, June 1<\/strong>\u2014Semiweekly depositors deposit FICA and withheld income tax on wages paid on May 24-26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Friday, June 2<\/strong>\u2014Semiweekly depositors deposit FICA and withheld income tax on wages paid on May 27-30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wednesday, June 7<\/strong>\u2014Semiweekly depositors deposit FICA and withheld income tax on wages paid on May 31-June 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Friday, June 9<\/strong>\u2014Semiweekly depositors deposit FICA and withheld income tax on wages paid June 3-6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Monday, June 12<\/strong>\u2014Tipped employees who received $20 or more in tips during May report them to the employer on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-prior\/f4070--2005.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Form 4070<\/a>, <em>Employee&#8217;s Daily Record of Tips and Report to Employer<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wednesday, June 14<\/strong>\u2014Semiweekly depositors deposit FICA and withheld income tax on wages paid on June 7-9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thursday, June 15:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Individuals.<\/strong> If you&#8217;re a U.S. citizen or resident alien living and working (or on military duty) outside the United States and Puerto Rico, file Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR, and pay any tax, interest, and penalties due. Otherwise, see &#8220;Individuals&#8221; under April 18 in <a href=\"https:\/\/taxprocenter.proconnect.intuit.com\/tax-law-and-news\/april-2023-tax-and-compliance-deadlines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">April 2023 Tax and Compliance Deadlines<\/a>.<strong> <\/strong>If you want additional time to file your return, file <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-pdf\/f4868.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Form 4868<\/a>, <em>Application of Automatic Extension of Time to File U.S. Individual Tax Return<\/em>, to obtain four additional months to file and pay what you estimate you owe in tax to avoid penalties and interest. Then, file Form 1040 or Form 1040- SR by October 16. However, if you&#8217;re a participant in a combat zone, you may be able to further extend the filing deadline. See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/publications\/p3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Publication 3<\/a>, <em>Armed Forces&#8217; Tax Guide<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Individuals.<\/strong> Make a payment of your 2023 estimated tax if you&#8217;re not paying your income tax for the year through withholding (or won&#8217;t pay in enough tax that way). Use Form 1040-ES. This is the second installment date for estimated tax in 2023. For more information, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/publications\/p505\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Publication 505<\/a>, <em>Tax Withholding and Estimated Tax<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Corporations.<\/strong> Deposit the second installment of estimated income tax for 2023.
