data-wa-link=\"body_tpc-may18Taxguide\">May<\/a>, it is recommended that you:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct post-season review.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate tax software.<\/li>\n<li>Remind individual clients of the June 15 estimated tax payment.<\/li>\n<li>Alert clients who need to file amended returns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Compliance Dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, May 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employers file <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-pdf\/f941.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wa-link=\"body_irs-f941\" target=\"_blank\">Form 941<\/a>, <em>Employer\u2019s Quarterly Federal Tax Return<\/em>, for the first quarter of 2018 (if tax for the quarter was deposited in full and on time, file by May 10).<\/li>\n<li>Employers deposit federal unemployment tax owed through March if more than $500.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 2<\/strong> \u2013 Semiweekly depositors deposit FICA and withheld income tax on wages paid on April 25-27.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 4 <\/strong>\u2013 Semiweekly depositors deposit FICA and withheld income tax on wages paid on April 28-May 1.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 9 <\/strong>\u2013 Semiweekly depositors deposit FICA and withheld income tax on wages paid on May 2-4.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 10:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tipped employees who received $20 or more in tips during April report them to the employer on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-access\/f4070_accessible.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wa-link=\"body_irs-f4070\" target=\"_blank\">Form 4070<\/a>, <em>Employee\u2019s Report of Tips to Employer<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Employers file Form 941\u00a0for the first quarter of 2018 if tax for the quarter was deposited in
