Preventing a Form from generating in Lacerte
by Intuit• Updated 1 month ago
While you can't directly delete a form in Lacerte, you can prevent it from generating by deleting the inputs that are causing it to generate.
To stop a form from generating:
- Go to the desired client, then navigate to the Forms tab.
- All forms will be listed on the panel on the left of the screen. The generating forms will be bolded.
- Go to the form you want to remove and find the completed fields.
- Right-click the field and select Jump to Input to go directly to the Form Detail section where the form is generating.
- Remove information from all relevant fields.
- Return to the Forms tab and make sure the form is no longer generating. If it is, look through the form again and ensure you've cleared all inputs.
Note: If you've removed all inputs for a form and it's still generating, it's generating from somewhere else (multiple entries, carryovers, etc). Review all inputs to find the source.
