Below are solutions to frequently asked questions about entering Pennsylvania part-year returns in the Individual module of Lacerte.
Follow these steps to generate part-year residency dates on Form PA-40:
- Go to Screen 1, Client Information.
- Uncheck the Full Year Resident? box.
- Check the Multi-State Return? box.
- Go to Screen 55, Part-Yr./Nonres. Information.
- From the left menu, select Pennsylvania.
- Enter the From and To residency dates for the taxpayer and spouse.
