How do I generate individual Form SP-2024 for Multnomah County and Portland Business Tax?
- Go to Screen 54, Taxes.
- Select Oregon Combined Report Form (Form SP-2024) from the left navigation menu.
- Locate the Form SP-2024 Miscellaneous section.
- Enter 1, 2, or 3 in Form SP-2024: 1= Portland, 2=Multnomah, 3=both.
- Select the appropriate Schedule C name or number for business name, address, and FID number.
Currently, there isn't an option to generate more than one Form SP-2024 in the program.
How do I fill out the Form SP-2024 for a business that operates in both the City of Portland and Multnomah County?
- Go to Screen 54.022, Oregon Combined Report Form (Form SP-2024).
- Enter a 3 in Form SP-2024: 1=Portland, 2=Multnomah, 3=both.
- Select the applicable Schedule C name or number for business name, address, and FID number.
- Select Taxpayer, Spouse, or Joint.
- Check any applicable boxes.
- You should only fill out the address information if it's different from Schedule C address information.
- Under the Business Information section, enter the Total gross receipts.
- The taxpayer doesn't need to file Form SP-2024 if the business earned under $50,000 in gross receipts.
- Under Multnoman County Business Income Tax, enter the Multnomah gross income.
- Under City of Portland Business Income Tax, enter the Portland gross income.
- Complete any other applicable fields.
How does Lacerte calculate the deductible SE tax on Form SP-2024 line 4?
According to the instructions for Form SP-2024, line 4 is the total of Schedule 1 (Form 1040), lines 14, 15 and 16, plus any Oregon modifications directly related to business activities. Lacerte uses these instructions to calculate this line.
