The following critical diagnostic is generating:
- The California Corporation Number must be seven digits in length for electronic filing. Ref #10610
To resolve this diagnostic:
- Go to the Input Return tab.
- On the left-side menu, select General.
- Click on Client Information.
- Scroll down to the California Information section.
- Enter the seven-digit CA Corporation #.
Important: An LLC electing to file as an S Corporation may have a California corporation number longer than seven digits. These returns must be paper filed. Due to an e-file business rule set forth by the California Franchise Tax Board, any S Corporate returns e-filed without a seven-digit California corporation number will be rejected.
