Entering Form 990/990EZ Functional Expenses in Lacerte

How to allocate expenses for Form 990, Part II, columns (b), (c), and (d)?

1. Open Screen 34, Functional Expenses (990).
2. Enter the applicable percentage information in Allocation Percentages.
3. Enter the expenses in the Total column.

Note: The program multiplies the entries in step 2 by those in step 3 and carries the result to Form 990, Part II. The program calculates the sum of columns (b) through (d) and reports it in column (a).
