How to generate a Schedule A:

  1. Open Screen 1, Client Information.
  2. In the Sections list, select Return Info.
  3. Enter 3 in 501(c) Paragraph Number or select the check box for Sec. 4947 (a)(1) Nonexempt Trust, whichever applies
  1. Open Screen 16, Contributions, Gifts, and Grants.
  2. In the Gifts, Grants list, select Schedule of Contributors.
  3. Enter each contributor's information.
  4. Open Screen 52, Charity Status & Support.
  5. Select the check box (interactive user) or enter 1 (batch user) by either Organization is Operated for the Benefit of a College or University Owned or Operated by a Governmental Unit, Organization is One that Normally Receives a Substantial Part of its Support from a Governmental Unit or from the General Public, or Organization is a Community Trust.
  6. Enter the applicable Support Information in the remaining fields
