Generate Saint Louis or a Kansas City Individual Return in Lacerte

W-2 from MO with St. Louis Local Withholding. The ST. Louis return is calculating incorrectly
Solution #1: The Individual tax return for the City of Saint Louis is the E-1.
Additional input is required in Screen 10, Wages, Salaries, Tips In order to generate the E-1, do the following:
- Go to the State and Local Section of Screen 10, Wages, Salaries, and Tips.
- Input the Saint Louis wage amount in Saint Louis earnings [Form E-1] [1=all] (code 40)
- Input the Saint Louis tax withheld under Saint Louis Income tax withheld (code 165)
Note: Do not enter Saint Louis wages in Local W/H (code 18).
This will generate the Saint Louis E-1. The Saint Louis tax rate for wages is 1%. There are no exemptions. No refund is available unless more than 1% of earnings has been withheld.
Note: Form E-234 is a business tax return and is related to business income, not wages.
Solution #2: The Individual tax return for the City of Kansas City is the RD-109.
Additional input is required in Screen 10, Wages, Salaries, Tips. In order to generate the RD-109, do the following:
- Go to the State and Local Section of Screen 10, Wages, Salaries, and Tips.
- Input the Kansas City wage amount in Kansas City earnings [Form RD-109] [1=all] (code 105)
- Input the Kansas City tax withheld in Kansas City Income tax withheld (code 166)
Note: Do not enter Kansas City wages in Local W/H (code 18).This will generate the Kansas City RD-109. The Kansas City tax rate for wages is 1% . There are no exemptions. No refund is available unless more than 1% of earnings has been withheld.
Note: Form RD-108 is a business tax return and is related to business income, not wages.
