Description
Apply Ohio School District Taxes when One W-2 has withholding from two school districts. This may occur if:
- The taxpayer has moved during the year.
- The taxpayer and spouse are both teachers.
Solution
Input for the Ohio School district form is located several places in the program depending on the source of income.
1. On Screen 1, Client Information, in the Ohio Information section, input the county name and Public Sch Dist #
2. Income wages is located in Screen 10, Wages, Salaries, Tips
a. Input the wage information from each box of the W-2 in the corresponding fields
b. In the State and Local section input the school district tax withheld and the # of the school district.
c. Assign the wages to the correct school district #.
Input the actual School district taxes withheld in Screen 54.121 Ohio School District Tax (Form SD-100) under School district withholding [O] (codes 2, 22)
