"Consolidator Already Authorized" when getting REP for a consolidated return in Lacerte

When attempting to transmit REP authorization on a consolidated return you may get a message which states:
"Consolidator Already Authorized."
How to solve:
If the error persists, try making a copy of the consolidator and get REP for the copy. Delete the original if successful.
