When installing to a network workstation, the setup.exe file is missing from X:\ProNetYY\Wkstn
You have a new computer that will be a new workstation. However, when you try to install ProSeries Professional, the setup.exe file is missing. To resolve this, follow these steps:
Part 1 - On the admin workstation, uninstall one of the federal form sets (1040, 1065, 1120s, etc.):
- Click the Windows Start menu and select All Programs.
- Select ProSeries YYYY and click Uninstall.
- Select one Federal form set and click Uninstall.
Part 2 -Reinstall the form set:
- Sign in to My Account.
- Download and install the year of the program that's having the issue.
- For example, ProSeries 2023.
- Install the program to the same location that ProSeries is currently installed.
- This will trigger a check of the network folders and replace the missing setup.exe file. You can now run your workstation setup.
