Generate or suppress the preparer's signature on Form 8879 in ProConnect Tax

This article will help you generate or suppress the preparer's signature on Form 8879 or the equivalent form, for business returns. These steps can also be used to generate or suppress the preparer's signature from printing at the bottom of the tax return.
For Individual (1040) returns:
- Go to General > Misc. Info./Direct Deposit.
- Enter a 1 or 2 in Preparer name on 1040: 1=no, 2=yes, 3=if not already printed.
For Partnership (1065) returns:
- Go to General > Miscellaneous Information.
- Enter a 1 or 2 in Preparer name on 1065: 1=no, 2=yes, 3=if not already printed.
For Corporate (1120) returns:
- Go to General > Miscellaneous Information.
- Enter a 1 or 2 in Preparer name on 1120: 1=no, 2=yes, 3=if not already printed.
For S Corporate (1120-S) returns:
- Go to General > Miscellaneous Information (Misc./Other Info.).
- Enter a 1 or 2 in Preparer name on 1120-S: 1=no, 2=yes, 3=if not already printed.
For Exempt Organization (990) returns:
- Go to General > Misc. (990-N, 990, 990-PF, 990-T).
- Enter a 1 or 2 in Preparer name on 990: 1=no, 2=yes, 3=if not already printed.
