Oil & Gas Data Import in Lacerte

Beginning in 2018 Lacerte, the ability to import Oil and Gas information into a partnership return is available. By mapping excel data to fields within Lacerte, the information can be imported year-over-year.
Follow these steps to Import Oil and Gas information from a CSV file (Excel):
- Go to the Oil and Gas Screens 16, Oil and Gas.
- In the left navigation panel, within the Properties section, click the Import button.
- Click the Get Started button in the Import Guide (aka import wizard).
- Click Browse File to locate the applicable CSV document.
- Note: This will populate the Lacerte Oil and Gas Import fields.
- Select the applicable items in the following fields:
- WorkSheet: Select the applicable worksheet within the excel file.
- Header Row: Select the row used as your header.
- Display data during mapping from: Select the row you would like to display during mapping.
- Select Next.
- You are now ready to begin mapping. Select the applicable mapping scenario:
Notes: If you have trouble importing the information from your spreadsheet, make sure to remove any formatting. Using the format 'Text' will import most effectively.
