How to resolve Lacerte diagnostic ref. 16394 for CA Form 593

This article will help resolve the following diagnostic:
- e-file: California Form 593 requires the 593 preparer's name, escrow company and telephone number for electronic filing. (ref. #16394)
This diagnostic for California Form 593 is usually caused by incomplete information under Dispositions and Part yr. Nonresident Information.
To review Dispositions:
- Go to Screen 17, Dispositions.
- Select the appropriate transaction.
- Select CA Real Estate Withholding (Form 593) from the lower left sections menu.
- Make sure that all information listed on the diagnostic is either complete or blank.
To review Part Year/Nonresident Information
- Go to Screen 55, Part-Yr./Nonres. Information.
- Select California Real Estate & Other Withholding from the top-left menu panel.
- Make sure that all information listed on the diagnostic is either complete or blank.
Each transaction should be reported only once in the program.
