How to enter West Virginia PTE in ProSeries

This article will help you report the elective pass-through entity tax (sometimes called PTE, PTET, PET, or SALT workaround) and the resulting credit.

To claim the credit on an individual return:

1. Open the West Virginia state return.
2. Open the Tax Credit Recap Schedule
   • Press F6 to bring up Open Forms.
   • Type Recap and press OK.
3. Enter the credit amount on line 26: Elective Income Credit for tax paid by a Pass-through Entity.
