Generating Form 1139, Application For Tentative Refund, for a 1120 return in Lacerte

Steps to carry back a NOL for a tentative refund

1. Open Screen 56, Tentative Refund (1139).
2. In the Tent. Refund list, select Federal.
3. In the Sections list, select Carryback Information.
4. Enter the Amount of Carryback to print on Form 1139.
5. In the Sections list, select Computation of Decrease in Tax.
6. In the As Originally Reported (Before Carryback) and After Carryback sections, enter any other information.
