Hello, how would you split the expenses for this case? Client has a second property, not in the state of residence which has rented short-term for 15 days. He has spent at least 1-2 months I know of living in the property but says he has done repairs on a full-time basis. A few days the property was vacant while undergoing HVAC repairs. Remainder of days (majority sounds like) property was vacant and not listed for rent.
I'm working on schedule E, what should I put as rented days vs personal days?

If it was not available for rent it is just a 2nd home, and no schedule E. property taxes, mortgage interest if requirements met on schedule A
