EV credit not giving credit

Is this EV form (8936) not automatic? I thought all EVs made in USA give a credit

    Do they taxable income and a tax liability?

    "I thought all EVs made in USA give a credit"  Made in the USA is nuanced.

    And some others posted that you may have to enter the amount of expected credit on the form; that the software doesn't do all the math.

    The more I know the more I don’t know.
