Please add the option to use Ohio Generic Form R for all cities as an alternative. Preferably at both the firm & client level, but at least at the client level.
By Law, all cities in Ohio must accept a generic form.
The Generic Form R is available on January 1 - the specific city forms are not.
Reviewing each different type of form is time consuming versus reviewing a generic form.
Currently Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo and Columbus returns are only available as specific city forms - causing us to wait until they are approved.
The cities above do not offer e-filing for business returns - there is little to no benefit to the taxpayer, nor the tax preparer to having specific forms when a generic return is available as alternative.
The time and money spent by Intuit to maintain these specialized forms are wasted - a generic form is sufficient and legally acceptable.
