I am trying to e-file a $0 balance corporate tax return for Colorado. The state added a new line for 2025 (line 27) and I'm getting an error message that will not allow me to file the Colorado return only. The error states "the sum line is invalid for state electronic filing only positive numbers are allowed for this field." I filed a $0 balance tax return for this client for 2024 electronically through ProSeries both Federal and Colorado. Now, I can only file the Federal return with a $0 balance for 2025, not the Colorado return. There isn't anything on the Colorado site that states I cannot file a $0 balance return with this line item containing a $0. That said, I can file this on the state site directly and haven’t ever had an issue filing a $0 balance return before, but I shouldn't have to file this outside your program when I've paid for the software. This is a software issue that needs to be fixed for the 2025 tax return or a refund needs to be issued for returns that cannot be filed due to a software problem.
