Add State Refund/Balance Visibility in Federal View

When working inside a federal return in ProSeries, it would be extremely helpful to simultaneously display the state refund or balance due amount without needing to toggle into the state return.

Currently, preparers must switch back and forth between federal and state modules to view the overall outcome of the return. This slows down workflow, especially during review and client communication.

I don't tend to do much switching back and forth.  If they are going to do any changes involving the state, I would much rather have them provide two year comparisons for all states rather than the small handful they do now.

And how much extra would you be willing to pay for these bells and whistles?  How would it work with a professional athlete who files 20 state returns?  My experience is that if I make a change to the federal return, it doesn't apply to a state return until I switch to that view.  (I've been burned a few times, when I forgot to do this before printing the return.)  Intuit programmers never speak, but if they could they would probably tell you that each state is a separate program, and it can't run simultaneously with the federal program, or another state.
