The IRS has not withdrawn funds from clients account on returns/extensions filed on April 13, 2026. What can I do?

The IRS has not withdrawn funds from clients. I have check the bank details. CA Franchise Tax Board has withdrawn from my clients bank but not the IRS. Client's IRS account said the return not processed yet and that it may take up to 21 days. What else can I do?

Same thing has happened to me.  Filed several extensions with payments on the 10th, about half of the payments came out and half of the payments have not been withdrawn.  Have called Proseries and IRS several times with no additional information.

I've gotten 3 calls from clients so far. Told them to give IRS time, they are 1 of millions that picked 4/14 to pay their taxes (of course not following my advice to pull it earlier)

These questions pop up every year at this time.  With IRS computers getting swamped, the transaction isn't instantaneous.  It can take a few days.  This is why I hate doing electronic payments.  I have better things to do on April 15th than to have clients pestering me that the end is near because their payment didn't come out of their account yet.
