Postponement of Tax Filing and Payments due to Winter Storm Fern

Anybody know when ProSeries will be updated to allow a 2025 tax payments to be scheduled beyond April 15, 2026 as it relates to taxpayers in TN affected by Winter Storm Fern?

Fern doesn't sound like a winter storm to me.  Maybe that's why the program hasn't been updated.

lol.  Sounds like a friendly name, but it was the ice storm we had in January.  IRS announced postponement of tax day last weekend for 20-25 counties in TN postponing until May 22.

Interesting question:  I have the return ready to file now, but I don't want to pay the tax until June.  I don't want to wait until I have the money, to file the return.  But I don't want to be charged interest from April 15, just because I didn't wait to file the return.  Oh, and I don't mind waiting to file the return, but my preparer is going on vacation and doesn't want to delay filing.

With IRS all things are possible.  But LSFMT.  (Lord Saved Me From Tennessee!)

As we've seen with other disasters, Intuit doesnt reprogram their payment options for them. 

If you want to schedule a payment for later than 4/15 do it on the IRS Direct Pay website.
