I wonder if they help my colleagues. They annoy because they make me stop my flying fingers to get rid of them, taking away time and concentration. The pink diagnostic signals do suffice. Can you include the option not to show them, ever.

The first popup (usually its the one bugging me to check the state ID number) I get I check the box in the lower corner to not show it again and all the pop-up messages disappear until I restart the program.

I ALWAYS check that box to not show again. But I had not noticed that it disappears until I restart the program--perhaps. Per client or for all clients? I just wish the pop-up boxes were put away for good. They do NOT help. They annoy and eat up time.
I agree, they don't serve any meaningful purpose to me either.
It only resets when the program is restarted, not between clients..
That is because the developers don't use the program. They don't realize the time-wasters, even when they ADD the wasters such as that pop-up (it has only done that for the last few years).
The Federal Direct Deposit box. It USED to allow use to keep that checked even if they owed money, but the direct deposit would transfer to the states. Then then changed it a few years ago and make us un-check the federal direct deposit box if they owe money, and now we need to manually go into the states to check the direct deposit box.
And entering state abbreviations - they really need to be consistent. In some places, I can type MN and it pops up with Minnesota, which is great and what I wish everything was. Other places I type MN and it sticks to the beginning of the "M" states. Other places I type MN and it brings me to the "N" states. And I think there is one place that it won't even let me type anything and I need to use the drop-down box.
