I have a handful of clients that filed in February before the federal unemployment tax relief was announced and way before the Maryland relief was announced and forms produced. When you open the client since the software has been updated the changes are just automatically incorporated. It appears that I need to force the AGI on the 502X and then enter the amount of unemployment from 502LU. I do not feel like this can be correct. Can someone please help me? I assume I enter the UI on line 5 of Form 502LU? I do know that the 502X must be mailed. I also don't know how you get letters related to amended returns in ProSeries. Every time I have done amended returns, the letters do not reflect the changes.
