Client with extension for 2020 form 1120 wants to change their accounting method from cash to accrual. Per IRS instruction, attach the original Form 3115 to the filer's timely filed (including extensions) federal income tax return for the year of change. Based on this, I think we have until September 15 to file and change the 2020. Am I correct?
