Competent Support/Software that Works

Level 3

How about going back to the good ole days and providing competent support representatives and a direct contact method to inform ProSeries of PROBLEMS in the current year program that DO NOT WORK!!!

Like the following:

1) The "Current Status" column in EF Homebase doesn't always reflect the status of the retun as checked on the Client Status Worksheet!

2) Like the City "Warren" is missing from the Ohio RITA tax return and the field can't even be overridden.  The tax return can't be completed!!!

3) Like FIXING the MFS MFJ Worksheet to properly calculate the Rebate Recovery Credit when the full stimulus payments weren't received!

WE PAY FOR THIS!!!!!!Homebase.jpgRITA.jpgMFS MFJ.jpgMFS MFJ After Update.jpg

AMEN Brother! I called in an issue tonight and I have to do this stupid submit something so it get's voted on way of getting engineering to fix it??? The CSR said they cannot submit some kind of fix or request to the engineering team there. WHAT? Is this the year 1789? No capabilities of sending someone an EMAIL? Just these large company excuses to not do the work. Oh but our bill is a few thousand more this year for all the great new "features."

The bottom line is that the developers and the management don't give a 💩.  If you are looking for a company that care about its products, you should look somewhere other than Intuit.

@MJ CPA @TaxGuyBill Thanks for your feedback. This post is from a few years ago. Here's the update for tax year 2023 -

If you need customer support and technical support for ProSeries, ProSeries Basic, and Intuit Link, call 1-800-434-6818 to share your experience and attach a sanitized file (How to sanitize a client file in ProSeries).

If technical support determines that ProSeries is calculated as designed, and you would like to submit a request to challenge the expected results, you'll need a case number from technical support before you submit the challenge. Here's submission requirements when challenging a calculation in ProSeries.

Hope this helps!
