Will there be and accelerated amortization of R&E Expenditures option for corporate returns on asset entry worksheets like on the 1040?
Is there a plan or guidance on how to handle taking the accelerated amortization expense for R&E/R&D for years prior to 2025 on corporate and partnership returns? They added a button on the asset entry worksheet for 1040s, but nothing has been updated on corporate return asset entry sheets from what I can tell. I have a couple of S corps in particular that this relates to.
Do we know if a product update is coming or should we just handle per the rev proc instructions?
