why is it taking so long for FTB individual returns to be accepted?

I have a few FTB 540's that were "sent to the State" status for over a day. Is this normal? I don't recall waiting that long in the past.

It's an issue (I use Lacerte).

I just don't know if it's the FTB, or Intuit.  There's no chatter on the Spidell message board about, or on the LTUG forum.

Sometimes, I can remember delays in the flow each season. I think were spoiled by quick acceptances, 24 hour turnaround probably isnt considered "slow".
