Question

why do we have to change our Intuit password so often!

Come on man!   Dont we have enough logins and passwords to keep track of?

3rd time this year you guys have made me change it  Since it gets changed so often I have to keep it written down, putting something in writing is less secure than storing it in my head!

But they let you recycle previous passwords so I have a short list of passwords that I alternate between.

Unless I'm special, they let me dig back in the recycling bin.

Unfortunately, it is the IRS that recommends the change every 90 days.

Personally, I use mostly the same password and end it with a number.  Then when I need to change the password, I just increase that number by a pre-set amount (adding one would be the easiest).  So it makes it easier for me to remember and easy to figure out if I forget.

Ive been adding an extra character on the end each time, but its getting longer and longer! Guess its time to go back to basics and come up with a new plan moving forward!

The weirdest part, I opened 2020 and logged in fine, then right after that I opened 2019 and it prompted me for a password change.

Same thing happened last time, I opened the current year no issue, as soon as I opened the prior year, it hit me with the change request.

@Just-Lisa-Now- @IRonMaN @TaxGuyBill 👍 I am so sick and tired of all these stupid passwords for absolutely everything now.... You need to have an encyclopedia to store all of these stupid passwords because some jerks like to hack into systems...

My phone recently started hassling me about passwords that I reuse on multiple apps/sites...theres just no way I can come up with a completely different password for every single place that requires one!

Some people use the same (or similar) password with an add-on specific to the website.

For example, the URL of this website starts with "proconnect".  So a person could use use the "pro" and set their password as "Password#1pro".  And their password for Amazon could be "Password#1ama".  That way you have your 'usual' password (in this example, "Password#1") and then just have that add-on for the website.

I think that originally ProSeries did not let you recycle passwords (or could not use something like your last five passwords), but apparently that has changed.

They should have asked some one at T-Mobile to change their Password! 🙂
