To claim the Flow-Through Entity (FTE) tax credit on Form MI-1040, you must perform a manual override because ProSeries does not currently support the automatic calculation of the mandatory supporting schedules for the 2025 tax year.

Michigan now requires specific forms to validate the credit. Since ProSeries does not generate these, they must be completed manually.

To ensure your FTE credit is not denied by the Michigan Department of Treasury, please download and complete the required schedules using the links below. These must be physically attached to your printed MI-1040:

Form 6072 (Michigan Schedule FTE) is required for all FTE credit claims.

Form 6074 (Tiered Entities) is only required if your credit is from an indirect ownership/tiered structure.

IntuitReneV4 - How I wish this were true. There is no overriding anything that has to do with MI FTE for 2025. You have to paper file this return, becuase ProSeries is not supporting any of the lines you need. If you override line 30, it doesn't get added to the refundable credits total, and own't let you e-file. If you override the total line, it won't let you efile. ProSeries screwed Michigan preparers with this ridiculousness.

I've attached all the proper forms, labeled as told in the error messages and it still won't let me efile. It worked for 2024 and we had to have a form attached - why is this year so **bleep** hard for you to figure out!
