Did Amish return several years ago, but forget what form or such to not charge s.s. tax.  Need to know what I need to do.  He has w-2 with lno s.s.  or mc. taken out of pay.  Will the I.R.S recognize this?

If he only has that W-2 and it didn't have SS and Medicare withheld, you don't have anything to do.  It is already taken care of.

I agree with @TaxGuyBill .     If your client had Sched C or F, you would check the "Have approved Form4029" box.

Edit:   BTW  I have many Amish clients with W2s w/o SS and Medicare w/held
