To create a 1120s business amendment do I need to recreate the original filing?

I have a new client who needs to file a business amended return 1120s. Do I need to recreate his original business filing in proseries to work on the amendment?

An amended 1120S is a complete and correct 1120S with the amended box checked and an explanation of what changed from the original.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
