Can't e-file Virginia tax return. PDF of other state is attached per instructions, but still shows error. Please, provide date by which this error is going to be fixed.

I am trying to attach IL non resident return.

I hope Intuit will fix it before filing deadline.

Extra thing to monitor......:(

When you attach the PDF file, are you selecting the other state from the drop down list?  You can't just leave it as "Other".

I am getting the same error.  I've prepared a Virginia resident return and need to attach a pdf copy of a New Mexico nonresident return in order to e-file Virginia.  The attach pdf works fine but I get the critical diagnostic that VA does not allow special characters in the file description so I think it's complaining about the period in the .pdf file extension.  I take the .pdf off the description and still get the error.  I also need to attach a pdf of Form- 41359 Pass-Through Withholding to the New Mexico return and that's not working either.  This needs to be fixed quickly by Intuit.

Yeah, it's quirky and annoying.  Most other software just automatically does this for you.  Not sure why ProSeries makes us do it manually.  Glad you were able to get it figured out.
