Has anyone tried a broker for selling an accounting business? Any advice there?

Don't do it?

If you do, get your money in one lump sum.

From what I have heard, the buyers don't tend to retain much of the business they bought.

    I too wonder what a buyer would be getting. I'm really the face of the business. My clients know me, and would be suspicious of a newbie. I imagine they would be hard to retain. I was thinking of contacting the large CPA firm in town and see if they'd be interested.
