Sale of vacation home

I'm reporting the sale of a taxpayers vacation home on form 1040.  The home was owned for 12 years.  Do I use the Box D summary boxes on form 1099-B, "form 8949 Reporting Exception Transactions," or do I report somewhere else?  Thanks, Pete
