Re: TAXABLE SOCIAL SECURITY DID NOT CALCULATE

I have a client with the same error in their return. The software calculated the Social Security portion on the worksheet, but no on the form 1040; the 1040 shows "Taxable Social Security:0"

From now on, I have to calculate everything manually myself because I no longer trust the software.

I paid nearly 3000 dollars for this software (Proseries). This is ridiculous,

My client file on February 20, 2026, and received a letter from the IRS saying there was an error on their return.

Thanks
